Illustration
Inspired by the French Toile de Jouy pattern, the illustration depicting the royal life of dogs and cats in a romantic setting full of flowers and plants was created especially for the 77 brand in collaboration with the prominent artist Natalya Lotareva, who specializes in decorations and 18th century ornaments.
Traditionally, Toile de Jouy is a fabric decorated with idyllic genre scenes. The motif was invented by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf. He was inspired by the games at Marie Antoinette's court, where the aristocracy spent their free time at picnics, pretending to be shepherds and shepherdesses. The pattern was used for fabrics and wallpaper in the noble and royal courts.
